When water finds its way into a Sacramento home, the person standing at your door matters as much as the equipment on the truck. Our crew has been built one person at a time over the years, and every one of them lives and works in this city. They know the Delta breeze mornings, the July heat that slows drying times, and the older Midtown construction that hides surprises behind plaster. What unites them is simple: they treat every job in Sacramento like their own address is on the work order.
Restoration work we handle

Our People
Marcus J. – Lead Water Damage Technician
Marcus has worked water mitigation in Sacramento for 11 years, the last seven with Tidemark. He holds IICRC certification in Water Damage Restoration and Applied Structural Drying, and he can map moisture migration through a slab foundation faster than most people can find the shutoff valve. He’s the technician who first taught the crew to look for the tide mark, the line water leaves on a wall, before trusting a meter reading. He grew up in Colonial Heights and still plays pickup basketball at McClatchy Park on weekends. Ask him about drying out older East Sacramento homes with raised foundations, that’s where he does his best work.
Dana R. – Mold Remediation Specialist
Dana leads our mold work in Sacramento with RIA and IFA credentials and a calm, methodical approach that puts anxious homeowners at ease. She started in property restoration after years in hospital environmental services, so containment protocols and air quality controls came second nature. Dana personally reviews every containment zone before remediation begins and photographs the clean-up before any barrier comes down. She keeps a small herb garden on her apartment balcony in Land Park, and she’s quick to reassure families that kids and pets are safe when proper containment is done right.
Luis T. – Service Coordinator
Luis is often the first voice you hear when you call Tidemark, and he’s been answering Sacramento phones for six years. He schedules crews, tracks equipment, and keeps homeowners updated between the first call and the final walkthrough. Before joining our team, he worked dispatch for a local plumbing company, so he understands how stressed people sound at two in the morning with water coming through a ceiling. Luis lives in Natomas and handles every call the same way: listen first, then get the right crew moving. If he tells you someone is on the way, the truck is already loaded.
Rosa V. – Restoration Apprentice
Rosa joined us two years ago after completing a building trades program at Sacramento City College. She shadows Marcus and Dana, learning moisture mapping, equipment placement, and the exacting documentation our written-price promise requires. Rosa grew up in Oak Park and chose restoration work because she wanted a hands-on trade where the results are visible at the end of the day. She’s already earned her IICRC Water Damage Technician certification and keeps the Dri-Eaz and Phoenix units organized on the truck like a surgical kit. Her attention to detail on containment and clean-up is what we look for in every technician we hire.
One Standard, Every Job
Rick Sumner, owner of Tidemark Water Damage Sacramento, has a rule he repeats often: the crew working in a million-dollar home in the Fab Forties should do the same job as the crew working in a one-bedroom rental in Meadowview. That’s the standard we carry through the Cedarwell Care Promise network. Every technician in Sacramento is background-checked, uniformed, and credentialed through IICRC, RIA, or IFA. Every job gets a written price before work starts, shoe covers at the door, drop cloths before the first piece of equipment rolls in, and a photo of the clean-up before we leave. That’s not the exception around here. It’s the routine.
